Saloon Catamarans

Saloon catamarans are always pure cruisers. They primarily meet the demand for living space and comfort. Bridgedeck saloon cats are comparatively heavy and high. On and below deck they offer spacious living areas with an individual layout and great comfort for travelling independently of harbours.

FORMAT 1350

A fast world cruiser with different accommodation and rig versions.

The advantage of this design is its very generous living space due to a large cockpit on the same level as the saloon. The outside seating and entrance area are covered by a permanent bimini. In the saloon there is the galley with oven, twin sinks, ice-boxes, several lockers and side shelves. Adjacent to the galley there is an L-shaped sitting area including a full length single settee as well as the navigation area. The two-cabin version includes a double berth suitable for ocean sailing and a bathroom in each hull. The cabin in the starboard bow can alternatively be fitted out as a workshop or an office. In the three-cabin version there is an additional single berth in this position. Large and well-arranged storage spaces and tank capacities make long, comfortable and independent trips possible. The engine rooms are separated from the living areas but can easily be accessed at any time. The modern fractional 7/8 rig, typically used in catamarans, with a furling genoa has a powerful fully-battened mainsail. A cutter rig with backstays and two jibs is optional. Because of its high-strength sandwich construction this cat is unsinkable, extremely well insulated and needs little maintenance.
